sonication
Sonication is the act of applying ultra high frequency sound energy to agitate liquid creating nanoparticles that can be suspended in an otherwise unnatural state such a suspending oil in water. Ultrasonic frequencies (>20 kHz) are usually used, leading to the process also known as ultrasonic homogenization.
Many products are processed this way which eliminates the need for solvents and aggressive emulsifiers leaving only the purest ingredients possible.
